Born, raised, and now returned to Metro Detroit, I learned photography in Japan, graduated in the top of my class from the Hallmark Institute of Photography, and honed my skills in NYC.

Never being much of a city kid, I spend a lot of my time outdoors, usually while dragging an impractical amount of cameras around. Skiing, hiking, biking or climbing, if I can be injured while holding a camera, I’ll try it. While not out on an expedition, my current obsession is aviation art, in the air and on the ground. My office chair is an ejection seat. The handle still works.

I never turn down a challenge, and I’ve found most solutions are in the often-overlooked simplicity. A light touch can achieve far more than a baseball bat, but you still have to know when to swing.
